Susi Air is the largest operator of Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft in the Asia Pacific Region. We operate a total of 29 Cessna Grand Caravan and 7 Pilatus PC-6 Porter Aircraft. Our newest fleet addition, three Piaggio P180 Avanti II business turboprop, has just joined the fleet.
We believe in a young fleet to keep safety at a high level; as of July 2009 our average fleet age is just over two years with the oldest aircraft approaching 5 years in service.

First Class Commuter Service
Our scheduled flights are operated with 16 planes which are based in Medan (North Sumatra), Jakarta (Java), Kupang (NTT), Balikpapan and Malinau (East Kalimantan), Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan) and Sentani, Timika, Nabire, Manokwari (Papua). We operate flights to airports in North Sumatra and Aceh in Medan; we offer twice daily flights from Medan to Meulaboh and to Simeulue, and offer daily departures to Silangit (Lake Toba) and Padangsidempuan. In Kalimantan we provide scheduled services on a total of 10 routes. In providing our commuter service we value safety, passenger comfort, reliability and on-time performance very high. Expect to see many more route openings in the future.

Flexible and Reliable Charter Service
We also offer on demand charter for VIP guests, groups and cargo. The flagship of our charter fleet is the Avanti, which can take up to 8 passengers with high speed and comfort to their destinations. The Avanti can be equipped for medical evacuation and is available on short notice, 24 hours a day. All of our 12-seat standard Caravans can be chartered, as well as the Pilatus Porter and Diamond Twin aircraft. In Jakarta we have one special VIP charter Caravan with 8 luxurious seats. Two or our Porter aircraft is specially equipped to perform survey flights. Our international team of qualified pilots will take you to any of the 70 available airports in Sumatra, 40 in Java, or more than 650 destintations in all of Indonesia and also to neighboring countries

Partial fee-waiver scholarships
These scholarships are available to international students taking up courses offered by the faculty.

Scholarships between A$3000 and A$6000 are offered as a one-off partial fee waiver for undergraduate courses commencing in 2011.

The scholarship is open to all international students commencing degrees within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering in 2011.

Students must have submitted an application and received an unconditional letter of offer by the scholarship closing date for a course commencing in 2011.

How to apply

Applicants must complete a scholarship application form (PDF 66kb) and submit it to with a copy of their offer letter.

Please note the subject heading of the application email needs to say 'Application for FSTE'.

Selection process
Selection is based primarily on academic excellence. Only students with a minimum 70% or equivalent, and who have received an unconditional letter of offer can be considered.

If the overseas grading system does not conform to a 70% equivalent but is still of high standard, students may still be considered.
